DOB inspectors say a Whitestone job site kept digging after the city had already posted a stop-work order there, according to an Environmental Control Board violation issued September 1.

The property is 150-02 6th Avenue in Whitestone, Queens (BIN 4128711), listed in DOB records under 1627 White Stone LLC. The violation, number 39202703P, was filed under Administrative Code 28-207.2.2 — unlawfully continuing work while a stop-work order is in effect — and carries the maximum Class 1 severity.

Per the violation description, inspectors observed three workers on site excavating a pit roughly 7 feet deep at the rear retaining wall, along with new concrete work extending the foundation wall to close the gap behind it.

DOB set the penalty at $10,000, unpaid as of the filing. A hearing is scheduled for November 10, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.; the case is currently listed as pending.
