The short rules for reading the paper, holding an account, and using what we publish.
Using the paper
By using therfiwire.com, The Punch List, or a reader account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use them.
Accounts
An account is free and personal to you. Keep the sign-in link private: anyone who opens it is signed in as you. You are responsible for what is done from your account. We may close an account that breaks these terms.
What you can do with what we publish
Read it, save it, share links to it, quote it with credit. You may use what you learn here in your own bidding and business.
What you may not do without our written permission: copy, scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the bid board, results, record pages, project pages, price data or any other feed; republish or resell our data or our writing; or build a product or service on them. The public records we report on are public — our compilation, structure, and writing are ours. If you want to license the data, ask: therfiwire@therfiwire.com.
Accuracy
We work from agency postings and public records and we work fast. Dates move, addenda change scope, and agencies correct their own notices. Always confirm dates and requirements on the issuing agency’s own posting before pricing or submitting a bid. The paper is information, not advice, and not a guarantee that a listing is complete or current.
Alerts and email
Alerts and editions are sent as a convenience and may be late, missed, or wrong. A missed alert is never a reason a bid was missed. Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works.
Classifieds and advertising
Listings and advertising are governed by our Advertising Terms. We may decline or remove any listing or advertisement.
Your submissions
When you send us a tip, a comment, a listing, or a document, you confirm you have the right to share it, and you give us permission to use it in the paper with or without credit, as we judge appropriate. Confidential sources stay confidential.
Limits
The paper is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, The RFI Wire LLC and its publisher are not liable for losses that come from using or relying on the paper, including a missed or misread bid. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
The law that applies
New York law governs these terms. Disputes are heard in the state or federal courts in Kings County, New York.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top is the current version. Continuing to use the paper after a change means you accept it.
