Six Department of Buildings complaints were filed on October 30 against five adjoining addresses on 111 Street in Richmond Hill, Queens, all logged under complaint category 45, according to DOB complaint records.

The addresses are 107-37, 107-38, 107-39, 107-41 and 107-42 111 Street, each with its own Building Identification Number, per DOB records: BIN 4203372, 4203268, 4203371, 4203370 and 4203270, respectively. All six complaints were entered the same day, October 30, and assigned to DOB's Queens borough office under community board 410, per the complaint records.

DOB complaint category 45 covers boiler-related conditions. The complaint records reviewed do not state what prompted the filings, and as of this writing all six remain listed as active with no disposition date or inspection date recorded.

The clustering of same-day complaints across five consecutive or near-consecutive house numbers on one block is unusual in the volume DOB logs daily citywide, but the complaint records alone do not establish a common cause, a shared ownership, or any hazard at the properties. DOB complaints are unverified reports at the time of filing; an inspection determines whether a violation exists.

Property owners or managers at the five addresses were not identified in the complaint records reviewed, and none could be reached for comment through DOB's public data.

This is a developing entry. The RFI Wire will check DOB's disposition and inspection fields for these six complaint numbers (4A56940 through 4A56945, excluding gaps) in coming days as the agency updates its public dataset, which typically lags several days behind inspection activity.
