DOB's Construction-Related Incidents dataset logged two more injury accidents this week alongside the Maspeth Avenue fall.

On October 14, a material failure accident injured one worker at 280 Bergen Street in Brooklyn, BIN 3430106, in Community District 302 — the DOB record lists the check2 description as "Material Failure (Fell)," meaning a material or component gave way and fell.

The same day, DOB logged an injury accident at 900 Gresham Road in Manhattan, BIN 1091854, filed under the general "Other Construction Related" category, which covers accidents that don't fit DOB's more specific fall or equipment codes.

Separately, DOB's Safety Violations dataset shows two parking-structure violations issued October 15 for the same underlying condition: violation type FTC-PS-UNSAFE, with remarks reading "PIPS HAZ 092026" — DOB's periodic inspection program for parking structures flagging a hazardous condition identified in a September 2026 inspection cycle.

One violation was issued at 4701 10th Avenue in Brooklyn (BIN 3137105, Sunset Park), the other at 460 West 129th Street in Manhattan (BIN 1059585, Manhattanville-West Harlem). Both carry a status of "Waived - Pending Dismissal" and a cycle end date of December 31, 2027, meaning DOB's own record shows the citation is not currently an active, enforced violation.

DOB also logged roughly 100 construction-related complaints citywide in the past two days, per the Complaints Received dataset — a routine volume that includes everything from elevator and boiler complaints to illegal-work reports, and carries no incident or injury information on its own.

Owners and GCs working any of these five addresses can pull the full violation or incident history by BIN through DOB's public portal before bidding adjacent work or scheduling inspections.
