DOB logged six new complaints across the five boroughs on October 16, per DOB Complaints Received records.

Two involve elevators: one at 1400 Jesup Avenue in the Bronx (BIN 2008658) and one at 561 West 143rd Street in Manhattan (BIN 1061879), both filed under DOB's elevator unit and both marked active.

A boiler complaint was logged at 1314 Virginia Avenue in the Bronx (BIN 2096601), also active and assigned to DOB's boiler unit.

DOB's Office of the Building Marshal unit logged a complaint at 158 MacDougal Street in Brooklyn (BIN 3041636), and the Special Operations unit logged one at 40 Gold Street in Manhattan (BIN 1091849).

A sixth complaint was filed at 159-42 Highland Avenue in Jamaica, Queens (BIN 4209053), under category 45.

A DOB complaint is an unverified allegation, not a finding — these records show that someone reported a condition at each address, not that DOB has confirmed a violation exists.

Contractors or owners with active work at any of these six addresses should expect a DOB inspector may follow up, since an active complaint can trigger a site visit independent of any scheduled inspection.

No stop-work orders, violations, injuries, or enforcement actions were recorded at any of these addresses as of this writing.
