DOB issued a batch of new ECB violations across four boroughs on October 14, several citing building-maintenance hazards that inspectors flagged as posing an immediate risk of collapse or injury.

At 2251 Bassford Avenue in the Bronx, a Class 1 violation describes step cracks and bulging brick on the building's second floor, filed against respondent Marcelo J. Miranda with a $2,500 penalty. At 126-96 Willets Point Boulevard in Corona, Queens, a Class 1 violation against 126 Willet LLC cites step cracks, missing mortar, and spalling brick on the front facade, also carrying a $2,500 penalty. At 7222 Avenue N in Brooklyn, a Class 1 violation against 6422 Holding Corp describes loose masonry on a third-floor balcony that inspectors flagged as having the potential to collapse, with a $2,500 penalty attached.

Separately, DOB cited an active 20-story foundation site at 185 Marcy Avenue in Brooklyn, filed against B Contractors Group LLC, for excavation sides lacking required shoring and the code-mandated 45-degree slope — a Class 1 violation carrying a $5,000 penalty. At 1529 71st Street in Brooklyn, LT Pro Construction Inc. was cited at the Class 1 level for an outward-swinging construction gate at a four-story foundation site, also a $5,000 penalty.

All violations were served October 14 per DOB's ECB Violations dataset and remain pending hearings scheduled between December 18 and January 6 before the Environmental Control Board; none of the penalties have been paid as of the filing date.

Property owners and GCs holding active permits at any of these addresses should check DOB's violation lookup directly, since an unresolved Class 1 citation can affect permit renewals and future job filings at the same BIN. Hearing dates and respondent names are public record through DOB's ECB violation search.
