DASNY Is Running Three CUNY Mechanical Jobs at Once

DASNY has three CUNY mechanical and fire-safety contracts moving through the pipeline at once, and two of them sit on the same campus. Brooklyn College's four-building heating plant fire pump replacement and standpipe extension job — covering the West End Building, the Heat and Chiller Plant, Ingersoll Hall, and LaGuardia Hall — carries a posted estimate of $2,895,549 to $3,200,343 and was due September 23. A separate Brooklyn College job, Ingersoll HVAC Upgrades, is due October 5 with no estimate posted yet.

Twelve miles away in Queens, DASNY is also running the CUNY York College Science Building HVAC Upgrade, estimated between $3 million and $4.5 million, due October 1. Add it up and DASNY has put roughly $6 million to $7.7 million of estimated CUNY mechanical work out to bid inside a two-week window, before the Ingersoll HVAC number is even public.

The Brooklyn College fire pump job's bid date has passed as of this filing; contractors chasing the York College HVAC job have until October 1, and Ingersoll HVAC bidders have until October 5.
