Twenty OATH/ECB hearings tied to Queens construction and property sites are scheduled for October 20, according to city Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings records tracked under the Department of Buildings' case status dataset. All but a handful of the underlying violations were issued by DOB inspectors in August 2026, with hearing results already logged as "in violation" ahead of the Tuesday session.
The violations cluster around active job sites. At 57-32 260th Street in Little Neck, DOB cited Stream Rock Contsruction on August 12 for a construction fence gate hinge configuration that did not match approved plans on file, per DOB records — a $1,250 charge under code section AC. At 211-06 46th Road in Bayside/Queens, SCG Builders Corp was cited the same week for failing to maintain site housekeeping, with inspectors noting broken debris chutes and concrete and garbage piled at two site exposures, per DOB records; that violation also carries a $1,250 penalty.
At 610 Lanett Avenue in Far Rockaway, Regal Renovators Inc was cited after DOB found an eight-foot construction fence installed at a school site with no permit on file for the fence, per DOB records. At 32-17 112th Street in East Elmhurst, THC Construction Inc was cited for operating under an expired construction-fence permit, department records show. At 27-30 21st Street in Astoria, Ttundra Services Inc was cited at an active site under construction to the second floor after DOB found the site-safety plan on file did not match the safety logs presented on-site, per DOB records.
A stop-work violation also appears in the batch: at 144-47 78th Avenue in Flushing, DOB records show an inspector found all electrical wiring removed from the premises with no electrical permit on file as of 12:05 p.m. on August 10, and ordered work stopped and the site made safe pending a permit, cited to 14447 Holdings LLC. At 3527 Shore Front Parkway in Far Rockaway, Congress Builders LLC was cited at a 10-story new-building site, then at the second floor of construction, for work that inspectors found did not conform to approved construction documents, per DOB records; that case was decided September 23 in Brooklyn.
Several older cases on Tuesday's calendar carry default results rather than fresh citations. DOB records show hearings for violations at 3609 Broadway in Manhattan, 5920 Fort Hamilton Parkway in Brooklyn, 754 Bushwick Avenue in Brooklyn, 202 Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan, and 25-08 43rd Avenue in Queens were rescheduled after the respondents defaulted, with balances ranging from $500 to $5,030 still outstanding per OATH's case status data.
Separately, DOB's complaint-intake data logged roughly 100 new complaints citywide over the two days ending October 19, including elevator and boiler complaints across all five boroughs — volume consistent with the department's routine daily intake and not evidence of any single incident.
