Three construction-related incidents entered New York City's DOB Construction-Related Incidents dataset in the past two days, two of them involving a worker injury.

On October 2, DOB records show an incident at 2995 Botanical Square in the Bronx, bin 2016301, logged as "Other Construction Related." The record lists no injury and no fatality.

The same day, DOB records show a worker fall at 245 Park Avenue in Manhattan, bin 1036205, in the community district covering Murray Hill and Midtown East. The incident report lists one injury and no fatality. DOB's record does not name the injured worker, the employer, or describe the cause.

A third incident, dated September 30, is logged at 191 Clinton Street in Brooklyn, bin 3250408, in Brooklyn Heights/Cobble Hill, classified as an "Accident" under "Other Construction Related." That record also lists one injury and no fatality.

None of the three records lists a fatality, and none of the three carries a stop-work order in the data reviewed for this piece.

Separately, DOB's Complaints Received dataset logged 100 new complaints citywide over the same two days, spanning categories from illegal conversions to elevator and construction-safety concerns, with activity concentrated in Manhattan's Little Italy/SoHo area (multiple complaints at Mott and Mulberry Streets) and in Queens and the Bronx. A complaint is an unverified allegation, not a confirmed violation, and is cited here only for volume context — it is not evidence tied to any of the three incidents above.

For contractors working at or near any of these three addresses, DOB's incident and complaint records are public and searchable by BIN or address through the DOB NOW public portal — worth checking before you bid adjacent work or send crews into the area, since an open incident record can mean inspectors are already paying closer attention to the block.
