New York City's Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings closed out a batch of Department of Buildings cases on October 30, nearly all of them tied to a single Bronx hearing calendar (SAU: BX 2) and all decided by phone. The violations, recorded in the OATH/ECB Hearings dataset, span sidewalk sheds, elevators, and facade conditions across more than a dozen Bronx addresses.

The largest penalty in the batch is a $10,000 infraction amount against P K Contracting Inc. for 2811 Exterior Street in the Bronx (ZIP 10463). Per DOB records, the charge is failure to notify the department of an incident resulting in injury within three business days, plus a related charge for failing to include required information with the notification. The underlying incident itself is not described in the record; the violation concerns the reporting requirement, not the incident's cause or severity.

Sidewalk shed conditions account for the bulk of the remaining tickets. At 1964 Grand Concourse in the Bronx (10457), Sega Renovation Inc. was found in violation on two tickets — one for pedestrian protection not meeting code specifications (loose parapet panel, bent cross bracing, sharp edges) and one for an expired shed permit, per DOB records. At 1225 Sheridan Avenue (10456), 1225 Sheridan Tic 83 LLC was cited for a shed with deteriorated mudsills and damaged parapet walls. At 3873 Orloff Avenue (10463), Parkash 3873 LLC drew three separate tickets on the same inspection date — an expired shed permit, a missing information panel, and an unsecured vertical post — totaling $4,900 in penalties imposed. At 280 Longstreet Avenue (10465), Coast Group Corp was cited on three tickets tied to a single facade-repair inspection: debris left on the shed roof, jersey barriers and a porta-potty obstructing the roadway, and no competent person on-site for pipe scaffolding erected around the building.

Elevator conditions drew their own cluster. At 150 East 182 Street (10453), Beks LLC was cited twice — on August 14 and again August 20 — for an out-of-service elevator the department found to be a hazard, per DOB records. At 2165 Ryer Avenue (10457), Parkash 2165 LLC was cited for the same code section after an elevator was found out of service. At 2244 Creston Avenue (10453), LSL Services Inc. was hit with a cease-use violation after an inspector found the door lock monitor not working and a reverse phase relay missing its cover.

Smaller tickets round out the batch: a $2,500 penalty against 750 Conc LLC at 750 Grand Concourse (10451) for an e-bike with a lithium-ion battery stored in an interior hallway next to an apartment entrance; a $2,500 facade penalty against the owners of 974 Sacket Avenue (10462) for displaced stone and cracked stucco; a $625 penalty against 2760 GC Realty LLC at 2760 Grand Concourse (10458) for failing to comply with a commissioner's order to file a certificate of correction; and a $1,250 penalty against Lead It Builders LLC at 2098 Creston Avenue (10453) for failing to display a site safety plan and approved support-of-excavation drawings when requested during an inspection.

Separately, DOB's complaint-intake system logged roughly 100 new complaints citywide over the same two-day window, per DOB Complaints Received data, touching addresses from Henry Street in Manhattan to South Conduit Avenue in Queens. A complaint is an unverified intake record, not a finding — none of those complaints has been confirmed through inspection as of this writing.
