The RFI Wire's own tally of tabulated bids sat at exactly 1,000 records overnight, with the same average bidder count (9), the same average spread between low and second bid (17.3%), and the same average gap between the low bid and the engineer's estimate (-4.3%) as the prior cycle. Nothing new got posted anywhere in that dataset — not one agency, not one trade.

Meanwhile the open board actually shrank. Bids waiting to be bid fell from 473 to 460, a drop of 13 postings in one day. That's the normal churn of a live board — jobs coming off because their due dates passed, not because agencies suddenly went quiet — but paired with a frozen results file, it means the gap between "open" and "decided" got a little wider overnight. More jobs are sitting in the pipeline; none of them closed the loop into a tab.

NYCHA still runs the biggest slice of the open board at 27 postings, with MTA Construction & Development at 11, MTA NYC Transit at 14, and the Dormitory Authority at 13. New Jersey DOT alone still holds 10 open postings on top of the 101 results it's already logged this cycle in the results file — proof that New Jersey's DOT is prolific on both ends, opening work steadily while also being the single heaviest agency in the tabulation history. New Jersey's Division of Property Management & Construction adds another 72 historical results and 7 more open postings, which keeps New Jersey's two big procurement arms as the busiest counterparties on the whole board, open or closed.

For an estimator, a frozen results file for a full cycle isn't a red flag by itself — tabs get posted in batches, not on a clock. But if you're tracking a bid you submitted recently and expecting movement, don't read the silence as bad news. It just means nobody's numbers went final yet, anywhere, on any job we're tracking. Check back after the next posting window; the freeze is dataset-wide, not job-specific.
