Five OATH/ECB violations against Techocraft Inc. for a Brooklyn construction site at 710 Blake Avenue were marked defaulted ahead of a rescheduled hearing set for October 19, per DOB records filed with the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings.

All five tickets stem from a single September 24, 2025 inspection at the Brownsville address. The Department of Buildings cited the site for work not conforming to approved construction documents, including a sidewalk shed built with an extra extension beyond what approved drawings (EQ-002.00) allowed, according to the violation record. A companion ticket cites failure to display required documents on site, including design drawings for what inspectors described as makeshift shoring in the cellar and at third- and fourth-floor stairwells.

A third violation describes cold-formed steel installed with steel straps that were "not fully connected" instead of angle clips and solid blocking, per the violation details. A fourth cites a supported scaffold erected near power lines inspectors said were unprotected and less than eight feet from the structure during active facade work. The largest penalty in the group, carrying a $10,030 balance due, cites a stop-work order at the roof level for lack of overhead protection for an adjoining property that the record says was required under a June 25, 2025 neighbor's agreement.

Total penalties imposed across the five tickets run to $23,150, with $0 paid and the full balance due as of the hearing record, per DOB's OATH/ECB case status data. The hearing location is listed as a phone hearing, and the compliance status on each ticket reads "Penalty Due."

Separately, OATH/ECB records show a cluster of other defaulted hearings also rescheduled for October 19 at addresses across the city. At 202 Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan, Prince Street Holdings 1 LLC defaulted on five tickets tied to a September 10, 2025 inspection, including occupancy without a valid certificate of occupancy, failure to maintain exit illumination, lack of emergency power to exit signs, and failure to comply with a prior Commissioner's order to file a certificate of correction — penalties totaling $17,650 across the five.

At 2800 Jerome Avenue in the Bronx, Cin Sima Realty LLC defaulted on two tickets from a September 10, 2025 inspection citing cracked and spalling brick at the parapet level on multiple elevations and obstructed fire escape exit passageways, with a combined $6,310 in penalties.

At 885 Park Avenue in Manhattan, Preserv Bld Restor Mgt Inc defaulted on a $12,500 ticket tied to an August 27, 2025 inspection of a 15-story building under facade repair, where DOB said scaffold installation underway at one exposure did not conform to an approved document. Bushwick Holdings Group LLC defaulted on a $10,030 ticket at 1355 Decatur Street in Brooklyn alleging a certificate of correction contained material false statements about corrected violating conditions, a charge brought under code section 28-211.1.

All of the above are captured in DOB's OATH/ECB Hearings (Case Status) dataset as of this writing; none have been paid, and all are listed with hearing results of "defaulted" ahead of the October 19 rescheduled date.
