New York City's Department of Buildings issued three Class 1 ECB violations to N Tech Design of America on October 15, spanning two Brooklyn addresses and two different construction sites, according to DOB Environmental Control Board records.

At a demolition site on Court Street in Brooklyn (BIN 3002800, block 276, lot 47), DOB inspectors cited the firm for a sidewalk shed whose vertical members and cross braces blocked wheelchair access to a bus stop, a violation of BC 3307.6.4.9. ECB violation number 39560614N carries a $5,000 penalty and a December 23 hearing date.

At a separate site at BIN 3048878 (block 1760, lot 72), also in Brooklyn, DOB cited the firm twice from the same inspection. One violation, ECB number 39560625Z, alleges demolition of masonry walls at two building exposures that did not follow the approved demolition sequence, which calls for removal at a 45-degree diagonal slope; the violation states both walls were observed out of compliance with that sequence. The penalty imposed is $2,500. A second violation at the same site, ECB number 39560623P, alleges a combustible-gas cylinder was stored on the demolition floor without required containment and without an active FDNY permit, citing BC 3303.4.6 and FC 5303 for unsafe storage of combustible material. That violation also carries a $2,500 penalty.

All three violations are listed as active and pending, with hearings scheduled for December 23 at DOB's Environmental Control Board. None has been paid as of the record date. DOB's violation data does not identify a specific construction project name tied to either BIN; the respondent's listed address for all three matters is 1648 East 14 Street, Brooklyn.

Separately, DOB records from the same October 15 inspection date show a Queens demolition site operated by Expert Painting Inc. at 126-19 22 Avenue drew two violations in the same sweep: a $1,250 citation for a missing project information panel and a $2,500 citation alleging the demolition proceeded without a site safety plan, demolition drawings, pre-demolition survey, or vibration and optical monitoring, with DOB's violation record stating a stop-work order was directed for all demolition activity pending compliance.

None of the violations cited here involve a reported injury. Each is a pending ECB matter; a hearing has not yet been held and no violation has been adjudicated.

Contractors and property owners tracking either firm's record can look up the full violation history by BIN through DOB's Building Information System. Hearings for both N Tech Design matters are scheduled for December 23, 2026.
