That's a tight estimate band, just over $300,000 wide, which tells a bidder DASNY's engineers have a firm handle on this scope already. Fire pumps and standpipes aren't glamorous, but they're code-driven work — get the fire suppression system wrong on an occupied campus building and the job doesn't just fail inspection, it shuts the building down.
