Hudson County is replacing the heating and cooling plant at the Brennan Courthouse in Jersey City (county file 3389). Only qualified bidders are considered: a bidder's qualification statement goes in with the sealed bid, in a separate envelope. Bidders must hold a New Jersey DPMC classification in Historic Restoration (C024) plus at least one of General Construction (C008), General Construction/Alterations and Additions (C009) or Millwork (C016). The job is under a project labor agreement, and a list of subcontractors goes in with the bid. Bid security is 10 percent, capped at $20,000. Plans and the qualification forms are at the County Engineer's office, 830 Bergen Avenue, Jersey City, for $1 a set, check only. A walk-through was held Oct. 2.
