The Yonkers housing authority is choosing a co-development partner to build for-sale affordable homes on seven sites it already owns — two on Herriott Street, three on Byron Avenue, and one each on Ridgeview Avenue and Ash Street. This is the qualifications round, so teams submit credentials rather than prices, and the authority is asking for a full team: developer, architect, engineer, contractor and a financing partner. A contractor who wants this work should get onto a development team now, because the team is what gets picked, not the builder. Submissions close Oct. 30. A pre-submission conference and a written-questions deadline both fall before then — check the bid documents for those dates and the exact submission time.
