Freeport's original single bid to build a Police Department extension closed Feb. 10, 2026 after an addendum pushed the date back from Jan. 30, but the village never posted a low bidder or award for it -- the job instead resurfaced later in 2026 as four separate trade bids for general, electrical, plumbing and HVAC construction, with the electrical and HVAC packages rebid again in September.
