Update, Sept. 18: the Corps puts the job at $15 million to $30 million. Despite the storm-damage name, the work is wetland mitigation -- about 33 acres of restored wetland, channel and upland, with 38,000 cubic yards of excavation out and roughly 69,000 cubic yards of clean sand and topsoil in, and no concrete, steel or MEP scope at all. It is a two-phase design-build: the October 19 submission is capability only, no price and no design, and no more than five firms advance to the priced phase. Liquidated damages are $3,363 a day.
